We parked at Middleton Beach and went for a walk around the board walk and saw several groups of whales just hanging around in the water below us.
The whales actually don't look all that spectacular in these photos, but they were sticking their fins out and waving them about, and blowing out lots of water which we could hear from where we were standing... I really need a new camera!





Great you saw the whales. I have seen them only twice in NSW. They are not around here unfortunately.
