Kids in the Kitchen

Oliver had fun cooking with his cousin Ella last night. They chopped up the mushrooms for dinner and had a great time doing it. They each stood on a little chair, armed with a butter knife, and took the task very seriously indeed. They were there for so long, and each time one of them managed to cut a little piece off, they would look up proudly and say "I did it!"

Yes, we did eat the mushrooms after they had chopped them up, fried in butter with salt and pepper. They were delicious! We also had beef calabreses, cheesy pumpkin risotto, broccolini and some scrumptious Connoisseur icecream for dessert... yum!
