Family Getaway to Denmark

We went over to Denmark (a small town about 1/2 hour away from us) on Monday night as a little family getaway for Michael's birthday. Nanna and Pop came too, so we booked one of the bigger chalets at Karma Chalets (we were in Harmony).

We picked up the kids from school before heading off, and had fun organising everything into our chalet before picking up some takeaway Chinese food from Denmark for tea.

Ben and Charlotte were very keen to play Monopoly, so we had a quick game with them before they went to bed, then when the kids were all asleep we got to sit by the log fire and sip on some honey mead... aahhh!

In the morning it was Michael's birthday but we let him sleep in, so the little kids all drew him pictures and ate breakfast until we thought it time to wake him up.

He opened all his fun presents, and had a lovely breakfast, then we went out to Bartholomews Meadery to see the bees and buy some honey. We even found the queen bee this time, which was exciting.

Then we went down to William Bay, where Green Pool was the roughest we have ever seen. It was really fun with big waves exploding right up high at times.

Next we went to checkout Madfish Bay which was also really fun to see
and then on to the river at Denmark where we had Bento Box for lunch... Yum! Then we headed for home and had a quiet afternoon and a relaxed evening. We'll definitely have to do it again soon, and stay for longer next time!
