Weekend trip to Margaret River

We went away to Margaret River on the weekend to see Alice (my sister), her husband Paul and their new little baby, Matilda! My Mum was staying with them for a couple of days, so we got to see her too. We stayed in a little apartment on the river and had heaps of fun. We got there on Friday night and went to Alice and Paul's house where we had a lovely dinner by candlelight (the power went out!).

The next morning we all went to Palandri's (winery) for a delicious breakfast. It was pretty relaxing because they have a fun area for the kids (and Michael!) to keep them happy while they wait for their meal.

After breakfast we headed to Mammoth Cave where we went on a self guided tour. Ben and Charlotte really enjoyed wearing the headphones and typing in the number of each area to hear the guide speaking.

When we came out the other end of the cave, we went for a walk through the bush to get back to the car park. The kids had great fun climbing over logs and looking at the flowers.

  1. Congrats on your new little niece - she looks adorable! Restaurants with play areas are great - that one is one of our faves when we are in Margaret River area.
